Crystal Vision Server for Developers

Crystal Vision Server (CVS) is a combination of Business Objects applications that work together to deliver integrated real-time data visualization and reporting solutions through a secure centralized management system and content repository. CVS supplies all of the necessary tools to rapidly create data feeds using Crystal Reports Server, to integrate those feeds into Microsoft Office through Crystal Live Office, and to consume those feeds through Crystal Xcelsius. The system includes industry-leading report and dashboard development applications in conjunction with a robust content management and delivery system that provides you with ultimate control over how you manage, secure and deliver content.

Dashboards And Data Visualization

Recently added to the Business Objects BI tool set, Crystal Xcelsius, is a stand-alone Windows application, designed to create interactive dashboards. Crystal Xcelsius uses a point-and-click interface that lets you create dashboards and visual business models from Crystal reports, personal spreadsheets, webservices or corporate data, and easily distribute them via PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, PDF, and the web (as flash SWF files). For developers, the resulting dashboards can be integrated with webservices, passed runtime parameters via http or FS commands inside Flash, to provide high-fidelity dashboard presentation layers.
