FLASH 18
Flash Tutorial

Flash is a revolutionary technology on the Internet through which rich multimedia content sites can be developed with ease. Flash is a vector-based program, which in simple terms means that the graphical information is stored in the form of mathematical formulae rather than pixel tables.
Vector information takes up lesser space compared to storing individual pixel values which results in Flash files being much smaller than their animated graphical counterparts.
In addition to animations, Flash can be used to make really complex multimedia content with interactivity and sound. Drop down or scrolling menus, animated buttons, custom animated cursors and even games can be made with Flash.

2. How to use instance name,

This Tutorial explains the basics of Text in Flash. In Flash there are 3 types of Textboxes - Static, Input & Dynamic. Static text are used for titles, labels, or other text content that appears in a flash document by default. Input text options are used for user interactivity like obtaining username or other information in a Flash form. The third type of text is a Dynamic text, that are used to display text that changes dynamically at runtime.

There is more than one technique for creating a custom cursor in Flash, we are going to use the most basic one. In our example, the custom cursor is a Movie Clip symbol that is being dragged by the actual mouse cursor which is being hidden. This is a beginner tutorial and you will not need any specialist knowledge with ActionScript to follow it. Here is an example of the result effect that we will create:

Multiple Key Detection

If you frequent the Source/Experiments forum, chances are that you have run into Michael Avila's (MichalxxOA) experiments. This tutorial is based on Michael's Multiple Key Detection script, and by reading this tutorial, I hope you will learn not only how Michael created the multiple key detection functionality but also tips on how you can use it and modify it for your own projects.

Whenever you use keyboard shortcuts, you are holding and pressing several keys consecutively. Have you ever thought about how this functionality actually works? What causes your computer to realize that when you press the N key while holding down the Ctrl key, you meant to type Ctrl + N as opposed to each key separately?
