The Bare Bones Guide to HTML lists every official HTML tag in common usage, plus Netscape and Microsoft extensions.
Version 4.0 of the Guide is designed to conform to the HTML 4.0 specification. For official information on the development of HTML, see the World Wide Web Consortium's HTML activity statement. I regret that, due to time constraints, I'm no longer able to answer individual questions about HTML or Web design. The resources listed in the left-hand column should address the most common questions.

This page answers the most frequently asked questions I get about HTML and creating Web sites. I regret that, due to time constraints, I can no longer answer individual questions by email.
How do I upload files to my site?
There are several different ways to get files or graphics onto a Web server so that they can be accessed through the Internet. It depends on how your Web hosting provider has set up their system, and free home page services like Geocities and Angelfire may have different procedures than full-fledged Internet Service Providers like AOL or Netcom. All I can suggest is that you contact your service provider, or look for more detailed information in their online help files

A quorum of developers have pitched in on a SourceForge project to maintain and further develop Dave Raggett's excellent HTML Tidy program. We have two primary goals. First, to provide a home where all the patches and fixes that folks contribute can be collected and incorporated into the program. Second, a library form of Tidy has been created to make it easier to incorporate Tidy into other software. When editing HTML it's easy to make mistakes. Wouldn't it be nice if there was a simple way to fix these mistakes automatically and tidy up sloppy editing into nicely layed out markup? Well now there is! Dave Raggett's HTML TIDY is a free utility for doing just that. It also works great on the atrociously hard to read markup generated by specialized HTML editors and conversion tools, and can help you identify where you need to pay further attention on making your pages more accessible to people with disabilities.
